Question 1: How do we purchase the Vaccines. Is it possible to obtain them directly from BVI?

Anybody can purchase vaccines directly from BVI provided it is an economic order quantity. For details of ordering process please refer to vaccine ordering, The Order Process, in the left menu.

Question 2: Can a liquid vaccine ( such as FMD) be used after being frozen during storage?

Liquid vaccines like FMD should be discarded if they have been stored at freezing temperatures. Freezing renders these vaccines useless. Please follow the manufacturers' instructions for safe use of vaccines.

Question 3: What are withholding periods of vaccine for milk and meat products post vaccine?

BVI vaccines do not normally have a withholding periods stipulated post vaccination.

Question 4: Can vaccination equipment be chemically sterilized before vaccination?

Vaccination equipment should be sterilized by steam or boiling in clean water. Chemical sterilization is strictly Forbidden.

Question 5: Can a freeze dried vaccine e.g. Peribov, Pestobov, or PPR-Vac be used with any kind of diluents?

BVI freeze-dried vaccines have to be used with corresponding BVI solvent (Peribov Diluent, Pestobov Diluents, PPR-Vac Diluents) to maintain the quality and avoid any vaccine failure. If BVI diluents are not used, BVI will not be liable to vaccine failure.
